Eyes in the Back of my Head

Wildlife photography is hard. Really hard. Early mornings, trip after trip after trip to the same location, sitting for hours waiting, waiting, waiting, and don’t forget the bug bites. But, when you get that picture, it makes it all worth it. I have ventured to Martis lake countless times. All in search of the elusive, “Osprey snatching a trout out of the river at the precise moment in sharp focus picture.” On this early morning I was stumped again. I guess that’s why they call it fishing and not catching. The sun was up, and the Osprey’s belly was evidently full, so I proceeded to pack up and head home. I turned around to be presented with a beautiful blue sky framed by some yellow flowers. Which in my opinion blows the, “…Osprey snatching a trout out of the river at the precise moment in sharp focus picture already taken by a million other photographers…” out of the water. I will however, be back to Martis Lake in search of the elusive, “…Osprey snatching a trout out of the river at the precise moment in sharp focus picture…” tomorrow morning.
