“Never wake a sleeping baby.” as the adage goes. Whilst touring the rugged Sonoma Coast my son had all the scenery he could take and nodded off for his afternoon nap in the back seat. Nearing our camp-ground I figured I might as well pull over and let him sleep…or pay the consequences later. The ice plant was in full bloom and the technicolor impressionism was too much, so I figured I’d sneak out the car for a quick picture. I usually reserve my photography for good light but in this case, I figured the raw beauty of the Sonoma Coast would make up for a lack of time and patience for the golden hour. I was rewarded with the image here which is my favorite of the Northern California Coast.
